I have had the pleasure of visiting and staying at EcoAdventure Centre in 2010 and 2011 with my Spanish students from La
Creueta Institute (Onil, Alicante). First as a holiday and later as part of a Leonardo De Vinci grant work experience with
10 of my TCAF (Dipolma for Guide in Mountaineering, Mountain Biking and Horse Riding) students.
The facilities and accommodation is of a high standard and what I liked most were the people who worked there, very
helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Any problems or issues (which can happen with a group of young
people!) were dealt with efficiently and quickly. It is very important for teachers to have a secure place for their
students to stay and to know that every detail is taken care of without the teacher having to waste a lot of time checking
and finding solutions.
The location is beautiful with wonderful views and the opportunity to practice English for my students, make friends and
learn new skills was what made EcoAdventure an excellent choice.
I look forward to many more future visits with my students.

Thank you very much for all your help and assistance in planning our weekend adventures at Knockree.
We all had a fabulous time - the EcoAdventure team were fabulous with the kids.
Many remembered the lads from last year and the craic was just great! The kids all went home completely
exhausted and very happy.
Many parents have taken the time to email and text their appreciation and praise for the success of the weekend -
please convey my thanks and appreciation to all the lads for everything they each did to ensure it all went so
well!! The new activities were just brilliant and added a new dimension to the weekend adventures. The were
thoroughly enjoyed by everyone (leaders included!!).
And so to next year. . .Iíll be in touch soon to chat to you about our adventures for 2012!
Many, many thanks from all the leaders and the young people and from me - you are a great team!

I wanted to express my appreciation for the superior service my students and I received during our stay at the
Knockcree hostel from the 15-17 June this year (2011). My students were there to complete their silver Gaisce
I have used many hostels in the past but I have never experience the fantastic atmosphere and professionalism as I
did in Knockree. From the minute we arrived we were treated so well. Staff members Carol and Helen could not do
enough for us. They were constantly smiling and having fun with us. The Hostel was spotless, the food outstanding
and the activities students took part in were very engaging.
Our guide on the hike, Wayne, was exceptional, he built up a very good rapport with the students I really
appreciated his positive attitude and ability to motivate my students when the hike got hard. I was very impressed
with his knowledge of and attention to health and safety.
I plan the Gaisce adventure every year in my centre and I will certainly be returning to Knockree.
We had a group of 41 Leaving Certificate students and 3 teachers who carried out a very detailed River landform
study with EcoAdventure Ireland, Co. Wicklow. The instructors were excellent; informative, very approachable
with the lads and understanding. The worksheets for the students and teachers were very detailed but equally user-
friendly and the 45 minute lecture after the field-study very thorough. Facilities in the centre, located just outside
Enniskerry, were modern, clean and very spacious. We would recommend this Centre and certainly look forward to
