Gaisce Programmes

EcoAdventure Ireland has three Gasice Approved Centres – Knockree, Killarney and Errigal. Together with An Óige we provide several packages to assist Gaisce participants prepare for various challenges. These include both BRONZE and SILVER awards.

2 Day Adventure Journeys:
Hill Walking – Knockree, Killarney and Errigal are ideally situated to prepare for your hike. Experienced Leaders will give instruction on basic map reading, emergency planning and equipment requirements in addition to practical training leading walks along sections of the Wicklow Way, Killarney National Park and Mount Errigal.

Cycling – With a wide range of looped routes of varying distance we provide expert help for your challenge. Training can also be provided in basic bicycle maintenance.

Explorations Journeys:
We will train your group to plan and carry out a two day exploration either walking or cycling to include a geographical study, historical study or multi activities.

With use of Knockree’s, Killarney’s and Errigal’s self catering kitchens participants will have the opportunity to practice their independence skills.
