Booking Terms and Conditions

A 50% non refundable deposit is required in order to secure your booking and your required date & activity. A booking is only confirmed once booking deposit and booking form has been received. A provisional booking can be made by phone or via email but is not treated as a confirmed booking until deposit has been received.

Your final payment is due 3 weeks prior to arrival. If the balance is not received 3 weeks in advance we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled. Any booking made within this time frame must be paid in full at time of booking.

At time of final payment your group numbers must be confirmed. Please note we require a minimum of 10 people per group. Should your group numbers decrease after your deposit payment you will still need to pay for 10 people. This is the minimum number we require.

We require one teacher/leader per 20. Hostel managers and staff are not responsible for supervision of any members of the group. Teachers/Leaders must agree to supervise and be present with the group at all times during their stay. All group leaders/teachers must agree to be responsible & accountable for group member's behaviour and actions. Any group misbehaving will jeopardize the entire group's stay and activities. We reserve the right to cancel a group's activities / accommodation should a member of the group pose a danger to other members of the group or Staff.

Normal house rules apply in Knockree Youth Hostel. Group leaders/teachers are responsible for making all members of the group aware of these house rules – house rules will be presented upon check in. Group leaders/teachers are responsible for any damage caused by and the behaviour of all group members.

While every reasonable effort to ensure the safety of all participants will be taken by EcoAdventure Ireland and its employees it is accepted by all parents/guardians that all outdoor sports carry an unavoidable element of risk. It is understood that Parent/Guardians' consent for each participant to partake in any or all of the following activities "Biking/Archery/Orienteering/Team Tasks/Hill Walking/Pony trekking/survival training/field study/team challenge" has been granted in advance.

Payment of accounts may be processed in the following ways:
For bookings in Dublin, Killarney and Knockree

• Cheque – made payable to An Oige – Post to Elaine Moore, An Oige, 61 Mountjoy Street, Dublin 7.
• Bank Transfer to AIB (Allied Irish Bank), 40/41 Westmoreland Street, Business Centre, Dublin 2, Ireland. IBAN: IE 71 AIBK 933384 00047181, SWIFT Code: AIBKIE2D. Please add your booking reference number to this payment.
• Visa, Mastercard or American Express
• Bankers Draft – Please note €20.00 will be charged on drafts issued outside Ireland for bank fees.You will need to add this to your booking amount when having the bank draft issued.

For bookings in Galway or our Mobile Activity Unit

• Cheque – made payable to EcoAdventure Ireland – Post to , Kevin Davy, EcoAdventure Ireland, Glendalough Estate, Annamoe, Co Wicklow.

Should you wish to cancel your booking please notify us immediately in writing. Cancellation penalties are set out as below:

• 4 – 14 days 70% of total price
• 72 hours, departure date, or after 100%
