We believe that outdoor education is a life skill everybody should have. It not only educates but gives confidence and energy to every participant. We also believe that learning in an outdoor environment should be fun and exciting for students. We believe that by combining with An Óige and Dartfield our programmes at Knockree/Killarney/Dublin/Donegal & Galway meet all of these criteria.
Our instructors bring a combined experience of decades in outdoor education and are qualified in their relevant disciplines bringing an enthusiasm that will help every group enjoy their visit to us.
An Óige:
An Óige is a non-profit membership organisation founded in 1931 to encourage youths to appreciate the Irish countryside through hostelling.
Some 76 years on An Óige now have 28hostels located countrywide providing in-expensive, good quality accommodation for travellers just like yourself, looking for adventure and fun.
An Óige recently completed a €4m building project at Knockree, Co Wicklow. The 5 star premises, opened in April 2008, now boasts 80beds and state of the art facilities.
Killarney International Hostel is located 5 km outside Killarney Town on 75 acres of forests and gardens and provides accommodation for up to 150 guests.
Dublin International is located in Dublin City Centre providing accommodation for over 270 guests with full meeting and conference facilities.
Errigal Hostel is a 5 star property located at the foot of the beautiful Mount Errigal in Co. Donegal. It was full meeting and conference facilities.
Overview
With EcoAdventure Ireland's expertise and passion for outdoor pursuits at last Schools, Youth groups, Scouts Troops, Community projects and Companies have a professional choice of location and service when it comes to outdoor education - and all at a very competitive price.
Being aware of the difficulties for organisers of events we are conscious of not only the budgetary constrains but also the importance of having an all in package available to Teachers and group leaders. With this in mind we have put together a number of sample packages to give an overall flavour of what we can provide, bringing the opportunity to apply what is learned is the classroom to the field for Students. Our Multi Activity packages are available to groups of all sizes and ages.
With full conference facilities we also provide team training and team building days, facilitation and workshops for both the corporate and voluntary sectors. We have locations in both Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, Killarney, Co Kerry, Dublin City, Errigal, Co. Donegal and Loughrea, Co. Galway.
